After twelve incredible years in Wan Chai Ship Street, JIA Group’s 22 Ships, the beloved neighbourhood tapas bar, is poised to relocate to a new abode in PMQ, Central, this September. The imminent move marks a significant milestone for the establishment, with its last day of operation in Wan Chai scheduled for the 21st of August and a soft opening in PMQ set for the 6th of September.

Since 2012, 22 Ships has been a culinary beacon in the vibrant tapestry of Hong Kong’s dining scene. Following a revamp in 2020, the tapas bar underwent a transformative culinary evolution under the guidance of Madrid-born Chef Antonio Oviedo.

The menu offers delectable tapas and dishes that stay true to timeless tradition; all served in a convivial yet relaxed setting that captures the essence of community dining.

Over the next few weeks, guests are invited to enjoy some of 22 Ships’ signature dishes at its iconic location for the last time, from the decadent Uni & Rusa Toast to the crunchy Chorizo Croquetas and the heartwarming Tortilla & Sobrasada.

Other standout offerings include luscious Scallops in Ajo Blanco, the monumental XXL Carabineros Paella, and the flavourful Manchego Lamb Shoulder. Experience the ultimate in Spanish cuisine with the Cochinillo Segovian Roasted Suckling Pig, renowned for its crispy skin and succulent meat.

For dessert, guests can’t miss Chef Antonio’s creamy signature Burnt Basque Cheesecake and home-style Flan de la Casa Vanilla.

A Madrid native, Chef Antonio Oviedo knows bona-fide Spanish tapas by heart. He has worked under some of Spain’s finest chefs, including Santi Santamaria and the Roca Brothers.
