Part of Destination by Hyatt, 7Pines Resort Ibiza has added the talented chef Oscar Salazar to its culinary team for the summer season. With a distinguished career at renowned hotels on the island, Oscar will bring his passion for gastronomy and unique culinary expertise to the hotel. To mark Oscar’s arrival, the resort’s culinary team is introducing even more traditional island flavours alongside expanding its dining experiences.

Four Hands dinner and unique dining Experience at The View
Oscar has created three new unique tasting menus at The View for this season, consisting of four and six courses each for visitors to choose from.

Each menu is inspired by his passion for Mediterranean flavours. Highlights from the tasting menu include lightly grilled mackerel, the “Balfegó” tuna harmonica (from sustainable fishing), the Ibicencan red shrimp, or local lamb loin.

Dishes are complemented by a wide selection of Spanish and international wines from the resort’s carefully curated wine cellar and expertly chosen by the restaurant’s sommelier.

The View will also continue its acclaimed ‘Four Hands Dinners’, which brings together a carefully curated selection of Michelin-starred chefs to the restaurant to cook alongside the Executive Chef and craft a spectacular one-night-only dinner menu.

Among the confirmed four-hand dinners are Chef Miguel Carretero from Michelin-starred Santerra in Madrid. Visiting on July 11th, Miguel is known for his focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and his contemporary twists on traditional dishes.

The second confirmed guest will be Chef Javier Guillen from 23rd – 28th June, bringing an impressive wealth of experience from venues including El Bulli, Valrhona, Pierre Hermé and Oriol Balaguer. Guillen was awarded Best Pastry Chef and Revelation Chef of the Year in the National Gastronomic Guide.

Sharing dishes at Cone Club
Overlooking the sea is the resort’s beach club, Cone Club, which offers laidback dining with a variety of tapas dishes and Sunset Rituals daily from June to September. Menu highlights include marinated tuna with Ibicencan honey and fresh herbs grown in the chef’s garden, Yahuna-style red shrimp rice, grilled leek with anchovy cream, and artisan tuna mohana.

Bartender Series at Pershing Yacht Terrace
This season, Pershing Yacht Terrace will play host to a new three-part Bartender Series, “Sip & Explore”, where guests can learn about the World of mixology from the experts themselves. During the series, nationally acclaimed bartenders will curate unique cocktail menus for guests, as well as host interactive masterclasses and tastings.

The first bartender confirmed will be from Dr. Stravinsky in Barcelona, awarded among the 50 Best Bars and 500 Best Bars in the World, on the 1st and 2nd June.

Alberto San Miguel and Eme Otero will visit Grupo Carbon in Seville on the 18th and 19th of June, followed by an acclaimed bartender from 1862 Dry Bar in Madrid on the 3rd and 4th of September.
