For a limited time you can experience an exclusive five course Michelin Star dining experience amongst Rembrandt pieces with a breath-taking view over Amsterdam
Between September 22 and October 4 – the anniversary of Rembrandt’s death – the Rembrandt Tower Boardroom will transform into a cultural restaurant, where you can dine at the highest level. Literally, at 150 metres, on the top floor of the tallest building in Amsterdam, the Rembrandt Tower. The dinner – accessible to all through reservation – during this special ‘art & culinary’ event, is provided by star-chef Wilco Berends. Diners will experience sky-high fine dining in the presence of beautiful Rembrandt pieces.
The selection of artwork provided by The Rembrandt House Museum comprises steal-prints of 13 of the most famous etches from the Rembrandt collection, giving a unique insight into life in 17th century Amsterdam. In addition, a personal Rembrandt item will be shown, previously unseen by the public, that played an important role in the life of the great Dutch painter.
A culinary dip into the 17th century
The Rembrandt Tower Boardroom guarantees oustanding service in every way and their ‘Heavenly Rembrandt’ experience combines an outstanding location with the creative genius of the Dutch Master and the culinary artwork of Michelin Star chef Wilco Berends. Chef Berends has designed a very special five course menu inspired by ‘The Amsterdam of Rembrandt’, skilfully incorporating ingredients greatly valued in the 17th century, with one course blending elements used by the great artist to create his perfect paint.

The Heavenly Rembrandt experience combines the fine works of one of the greatest 17th century artists with the culinary expertise of Michelin Star Chef Wilco Berends, to take you back in time, while enjoying exceptional views over Amsterdam.
Alexandra Hutter, director and founder of the Rembrandt Tower Boardroom: “One of Rembrandt’s works of art on display is particularly special to me, because from the Boardroom, we can see the spot along the Amstel river where Rembrandt created ‘The Omval’ and the same view over Amsterdam that inspired him”.
Culinary History
