Paul Godbold, the founder of Luxurious Magazine is a collector of fine time pieces with rare Omega’s, Patek Phillippe, Bvlgari and Vacheron Constantin littering his current collection.
Since the beginning of last year he has had his eye on a special limited edition watch from The Chinese Timekeeper in Hong Kong, a beautiful watch that he felt would provide some much needed glamour to his rather staid looking collection. Now he can proudly introduce the latest addition to his collection, the CTK12.
The CTK case on the Dragon Automatic is uniquely made according to the structure of the ancient Chinese Pagodas. The case is made of an alliance of four separate rings held together by four large screws on the bezel and back case. The case insures water-resistance for a depth of 50m. The case on the Dragon Automatic includes one 24k yellow gold layer, but the centrepiece of this spectacular watch is the beautifully hand-crafted dial. The golden dragon is applied rather than simply being painted or embossed which offers another level of craftsmanship with astonishing results.
The Chinese Timekeeper is the brainchild of French native Adrien Choux, formerly of Panerai and now running his own highly successful watch brand extoling the virtues of Chinese Watchmaking from the Wanchai area of HK.
