Arundel Castle has announced details of its upcoming Festival of History, where visitors of all ages can embark on an immersive 12,000-year journey from the Stone Age to the 20th century. The event will take place over the August bank holiday weekend from Saturday, 24th, to Monday, 26th of August, 2024.

Spread across the lower lawns of the castle, the three-day Festival invites guests to delve deep into the evolution of costumes, weapons, armour, and battle tactics over time. There will also be ample opportunity to participate in hands-on activities such as axe throwing, archery, crossbows, and crafting, ensuring that all ages will be entertained by the interactive experience.

Musicians Myal and Peg will add to the atmosphere of the event with their medieval melodies, and an unmissable event for the youngsters is the renowned Arundel Castle ‘Kids Battle, which provides children with the chance to join in the fun and test their skills.
