The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences, in the heart of Mayfair, London, has launched its ‘Royal Park Picnics’ al fresco experience, which comprises a lunch picnic or an afternoon tea picnic. All you need to do is choose which one you want, find a serene spot and enjoy the tasty nibbles on the grass.
Situated directly opposite Green Park and just a short walk from Hyde Park, the Athenaeum is perfectly located for visitors looking to explore London’s gorgeous and most popular green spaces. The hotel’s new Royal Park Picnic offering provides a scrumptious picnic experience that is perfect for just about anybody – whether it be families, friends, couples, or solos.
Grab a picnic basket, find a serene spot, and bask in the sun while enjoying the provided nibbles (and bubbles, if you wish!). Of course, if you need help carrying the basket or finding the perfect setting in the park, the hotel will be happy to assist you.
Picnic-goers can choose from a Lunch Picnic or an Afternoon Tea Picnic – both of which can be elevated with ‘tipsy upgrades’ such as cider or Champagne. If opting for the Lunch Picnic, guests will enjoy a selection of sweet and savoury snacks, including macaroons and strawberries, as well as smoked mackerel rillettes and a Nicoise salad.
For those with a sweet tooth, the Afternoon Tea Picnic includes delicious treats such as cakes, pastries, and desserts – alongside classic finger sandwiches, of course.
