Singaporean chef Edward Voon, the mastermind behind creative French and Asian fine-dining restaurant Auor in the heart of Wan Chai, has announced its celebratory line-up for Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day, and adding to the excitement will be the launch of The Laksa Club, a pop-up private kitchen within Auor which celebrates the vibrant tapestry of Singaporean cuisine through a hearty, family-style feast.
Lunar New Year with The Laksa Club
As the chef has always incorporated subtle Asian influences into the menu at Auor, The Laksa Club represents a pop-up extension of the French fine-dining restaurant, serving authentic and flavoursome Southeast Asian cuisine.
As it is only available in the three private rooms of the restaurant, advance bookings are a must.
On 9 February, The Laksa Club presents a special sharing-style Lunar New Year Reunion Dinner Menu priced at HK$988 + 10% per head, capturing the spirit of togetherness during this auspicious time.
It offers a delightful array of comforting dishes that celebrate Singaporean cuisine, with beloved delicacies including Singaporean-style Sri Lankan chilli crab with fluffy mantou, sambal pomfret wrapped in fragrant banana leaf, Hainanese chicken rice, obsiblue prawn laksa noodle, and a dessert featuring coconut, gulu Melaka and pandan.
Due to the high demand for this festive event, diners are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
The Laksa Club Throughout 2024
Aside from the special Lunar New Year menu, the original Laksa Club experience is also available to book throughout the year. Prepare to be enchanted by delectable dishes such as salted egg fish skin, five-spice pork roll with chestnut and bean curd skin, cuttlefish with morning glory, the irresistible Malabar black pepper crab, Hainanese chicken rice, and Carabinero prawn laksa noodle, among an array of other comforting delights.
Those embarking on this culinary adventure will be captivated by the richness and authenticity of Singaporean cuisine.
The unique menu is priced at HK$888 + 10% per person (with a four-person minimum) and requires a minimum of two days’ notice for preparation. It is exclusively available in Auor’s private rooms, accommodating up to eight guests, as well as at the Chef’s Table for groups of 10.
