As the leaves fall and the weather turns crisp, what better way to greet the new ‘fall’ season than with a delicious Autumn Afternoon Tea inspired by nature at Royal Lancaster London on the border of Hyde Park.
Guests can enjoy a delightful Afternoon Tea with sweet treats created by new Head Pastry Chef, Scott Villacora, who has joined the hotel from the pastry team at Fortnum & Mason.
Set in the idyllic Park Restaurant, guests can enjoy the first-class service led by our experienced Tea Sommelier Luigi Vergura, who carefully compiles the seasonal tea menu to perfectly match the afternoon tea.
Luigi should fast become a favourite with guests due to his passion, knowledge and ability to recommend the perfect blend of tea!
The Autumn Afternoon Tea begins with an amuse-bouche of Beetroot Macaron and Goat Cheese, followed by a range of delicious sandwiches; Smoked Duck Egg, Mayonnaise and Truffle; Royal Lancaster Smoked Salmon, Sun-Dried Tomato and Avocado; Cucumber and Pickled Dill; and the classic Coronation Chicken.
Guests are then served a selection of warm plain and raisin scones, served with Jersey clotted cream and homemade jams. Sweet delicacies include Mont Blanc Tart, with Chestnut Cream and Meringue Drops; Pear Opera, with Chocolate Ganache, Spiced Pear Compôte and Almond Sponge; and Apple Crumble Éclair with Vanilla Choux, Apple Coulis and Cinnamon Cream.
Alternatively, guests can choose the Free-From Autumn Afternoon Tea, which is gluten-free, wheat-free and vegan and has been carefully designed to deliver the same exceptional experience as our Traditional Afternoon Tea to guests with dietary requirements.
Sandwiches include Piquillo Pepper, Grilled Peach and Rocket Pesto and Hummus, Grilled Aubergine and Basil. Next, come free-form scones with jam and whipped coconut cream and sweet delicacies including Royal Lancaster Honey Cake with Honey and Spiced Sponge and Soya Ganache; Pear and Chocolate Macaron with Pear and Chocolate Ganache; and Coconut Cheesecake with Coconut Cream, Cashew Base and Blackberry Jelly.
Priced at £39, or £45-£49 per person including a glass of Descombes Brut Champagne, or Moët and Chandon Rosé Champagne, the Afternoon Tea is the perfect way to warm up as the seasons change.
