Aviation American Gin has today announced its arrival into global Travel Retail (TR). The American gin is launching in the channel with a new travel exclusive: Expedition Strength, an offering just for travellers. It provides the same signature taste and flavour but with added strength for the journey ahead.
Tailored for the adventurous globetrotter and named after the Prohibition-era cocktail, Aviation American Gin Expedition Strength has taken flight and is now accessible in travel destinations worldwide.
Aviation American Gin is hosting a special activation at Barcelona Airport Terminal 1 throughout October to mark the launch. The Barcelona Airport activation will allow travellers to sample two signature cocktails: the Negroni Upgrade and Bee’s Knees.
Aviation American Gin is a well-crafted spirit with a citrus-forward profile, underscored by a rich tapestry of botanicals. Each sip is a journey through time, paying homage to the diverse origins of its ingredients, a narrative echoing the vibrant tapestry of America’s storied heritage.

Crafted with versatility in mind, Aviation American Gin Expedition Strength can be enjoyed neat or as the key ingredient in a variety of mixed drinks. With its enticing aroma of sarsaparilla, floral sweetness, and citrus zest, complemented by a palate featuring citrus and spice notes, it delivers a satisfying finish with a subtle hint of juniper.
Established in 2006 in Portland, Oregon, Aviation American Gin emerged from a desire to challenge conventions and push boundaries. Its journey to global recognition received a significant boost when Ryan Reynolds, inspired during the filming of Deadpool 2 in Vancouver, encountered Aviation Gin in his favourite Negroni at a local bar.
Recognising its quality, Ryan became invested in the brand, partnering with co-founder Christian Krogstad and Master Bartender Ryan Magarian in 2018. This partnership catapulted Aviation Gin to new heights of acclaim worldwide.
