When it’s dark, cold and miserable, it’s easy to head straight to the slouchy section of your wardrobe. But wearing casual clothes doesn’t have to be boring. BAM’s new Autumn Winter 2023 collection features high-performance, low-impact activewear and athleisurewear that feels so fantastic that you’ll not want to take off.
What’s more, the garments may even help spur you into staying fit through the winter months. According to research, there’s a direct correlation between what we wear and how we perform.
BAM’s new range of clothing has been designed to offer the proper support yet is versatile enough to wear outside the studio, too. Their gym, yoga and outdoor wear have all been crafted using innovative, nature-based fabric blends, and the activewear collection includes throw-on tops, knits and jackets, all essential for layering up when temperatures drop.
Its bamboo-based new range includes Enduro and Mallea in stunning autumnal colourways and prints. The contemporary yet stylish kit will help brighten up any dull grey day. The powder-soft yoga pants will help keen yogis flow from one pose to another comfortably, while the all-in-one outfits made from sculpting Flexa fabric will give you all the support you need when performing exercises.
Customers can choose from a variety of other clothes in the new range. BAM’s collection includes ultralightweight, softer-than-cashmere Yak Merino knits, super-warm popover sweats with more environmentally conscious fillings, and luxe rib jersey ballet wrap tops.
To keep you warm throughout winter, shop their fleeces, sweats and breathable base layers in mood-boosting yet ultra-wearable colourways. They are sure to keep you cosy as the autumn chill hits and nights draw in – whether you’re out hiking or on the high street.
BAM is famed for its signature soft fabrics because of its work ethos. The brand is committed to using sustainable practices and materials to create its products. It uses nature-based fabrics and organic cotton and responsibly sourced fully traceable yak and merino wool instead of relying on virgin synthetics made from fossil fuels often used by the activewear industry.
More than 95% of the fibres BAM uses are nature-based, organic or recycled. These practices have earned them a B Corp status this year. After failing to find responsibly made fabric blends, they pulled their resources together to create their own. Their garments blend super soft, temperature-regulating, and low-impact bamboo with cutting-edge fibres.
What’s more, customers can scan the QR code label found on every item of BAM’s clothing to find out everything they need to know about how the item was made right back from raw materials.
Helen White, Brand and Product Director at BAM, said, “We wanted to create a more modern kind of yoga pant that’s still as luxuriously soft as all our other BAM kit. You can have confidence that our fabrics have a lower impact than synthetics, and you can see who made your yoga pants just by scanning the QR code.”
Granted, staying fit in the winter months is a lot harder than in the summer. But keeping fit when the weather is grim is crucial not just for your physical health but your mental well-being, too.
Just like many plants and animals are drawn inwards during the colder seasons, we, too, should use this time to slow down. Engaging in gentle exercise like yoga and Pilates will help keep your body supple, help build heat and may even keep colds and flu at bay.
So, see gentle exercise as an invitation to prioritise your well-being and allow BAM to give you help with their latest collection. Amid the stresses of the outside world, embrace the beauty of de-stressing, find solace through relaxation and nurture your spirit. Your mind, body, and soul will thank you.
