The Beautifect HeatSonic Makes Daily Skin Cleansing an Indulgence

Beautifect’s Heatsonic is a first-of-its-kind sonic cleansing solution that heats up to 42°C in just thirty seconds. It is a compact cordless device with tiny bristles and sonic pulses, which, in combination, thoroughly cleanses the skin and turns what some might consider a mundane task into a treat.

My makeup routine is simple in comparison to other people I know. I’ll cleanse my face, pop on some moisturiser, and that’s about it. My husband Paul’s routine is even simpler: a splash of cold water and, when he’s not being obstinate, a small amount of moisturising cream now and again.

For years, I have told him that he should be using a cleansing product at the very least; until recently, he was able to resist all my protestations. Everything changed when we experienced the Beautifect HeatSonic.

Before I reveal our thoughts on this first-of-its-kind cleansing device, let’s look at what it is designed to do.

The HeatSonic cleansing device is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand. It measures approximately 7cm x 7cm and is attractive-looking thanks to its neutral colour scheme, and the addition of rose gold accents. When held, it does feel high-quality. However, its attractiveness aside, most people will be interested in what it can do.

As mentioned, Beautifects SkinSonic is a first-of-its-kind, portable and rechargeable product. It is a palm-sized cleansing device, partly covered with ultra-thin 0.4mm bristles on one side. It boasts integrated heat technology, allowing it to warm to a very pleasant 42°C in 30 seconds.

The device placed in a basket of beauty products

Something that gave the HeatSonic a big tick from us is it is made from high-quality, non-toxic, hypoallergenic silicone and is free of BPA, phthalates, and latex.

Getting started with it is very simple. Underneath the bristles on the front of the device is a button, which, when pressed, allows you to cycle through the six sonic modes (speed/intensity), which oscillate between 10,000 and 15,000 RPM, indicated by LED lights. The sessions are controlled by a smart timer system, each lasting for two minutes.

The soft bristles and heat combination is designed to thoroughly exfoliate and cleanse the skin by dislodging impurities, including trapped makeup in the pores. It will also reduce excess oil and improve the skin’s overall texture, making it better placed to absorb skincare products.

We tried putting a cleansing gel directly on our faces and on the device. The device was effective with both methods, producing masses of foam.

The HeatSonic uses a USB-C cable to recharge it, which is housed in a sleek magnetic case with an integrated hanging loop. According to the Heatsonic, one full charge offers up to ten days of use, and in addition, the device also has an IPX7 rating, which means it can be used in the bath or shower.

The founder of Beautifect, Dr Tara Lalvani, has stated that she wants HeatSonic users to find more joy in facial cleansing and experience a moment of indulgence; that’s precisely what Paul and I experienced.

Paul and I agreed that after using the HeatSonic, our faces felt much smoother and appeared significantly cleaner. I tried the HeatSonic and was pleasantly surprised by the large quantity of foam it produced.

As much as I like the device, the HeatSonic would appear to have an even more ardent fan in our household. Paul has been so taken by it that he has used it for the past three days and told me that he has no intention of stopping.

We both agreed that the heat, soft bristles, and sonic pulses had transformed a basic daily task into a highly pleasurable experience, something we look forward to.

Paul summed it up best when he bellowed from the bathroom, “I like it! It’s a lot of fun, and my face does feel a lot cleaner and smoother!”
