If you want to treat yourself to some self-care this summer, I’ve got you covered with four amazing spas in the heart of England. After all, there’s nothing quite like bobbing about in a plunge pool, freshly pampered, with a flute of champagne in hand.
As I was born and raised in the Midlands, I know the area’s home to some of the country’s best spas. Better yet, they’re set in gorgeous rolling countryside, so you’re guaranteed idyllic views and buckets of fresh country air.
If you’re reading this from the north or south of England, don’t worry, these spas are easy to get to by train or car. For example, you can now get from London to Stafford in Staffordshire by train in just over an hour.

Hoar Cross Hall Hotel and Spa in Staffordshire
A magnificent country house hotel nestled in the peaceful Staffordshire countryside – Hoar Cross Hall is nothing short of exceptional.

Moddershall Oaks is a countryside retreat in Staffordshire that looks out onto picturesque rolling hills.
It was once a farmhouse, and today, following millions of pounds being spent on its renovation, it is now a renowned luxury retreat. The good news is the money spent impacted its original charm, which is reflected in the decor with the use of reclaimed wood, original beams and rustic finishes.

The Bamford Wellness Spa in the Cotswolds
I love Bamford skincare. The brand’s artisan products are packed with botanicals and smell beautiful whilst being gentle to your skin and our planet. So I had to include their Wellness Spa in this guide.
It’s a peaceful retreat at Daylesford Farm in the Cotswolds overlooking the countryside. Daylesford is one of the most sustainable and pioneering organic farms in the country, so it’s a natural home for a Bamford spa.
I’ve popped into this spa a couple of times on visits to Daylesford Farm, and it smells absolutely divine. The decor is stunning, too, minimalist and modern, just what you need for a day of relaxation. It blends in perfectly with the rural surroundings.
