With Christmas getting ever closer, people will be looking for the best ways possible to celebrate the most magical time of the year. Decision making for Brits, and in particular those in and around London, has just become a tad more difficult now that The Biltmore Mayfair has unveiled its festive plans.
The Biltmore Mayfair has unveiled what it has lined up to make Christmas 2021 extra-special. Two of the highlights in the hotel’s festive plans are the Biltmore Ballerina Festive Afternoon Tea and Christmas menu designed by world-renowned culinary maestro Jason Atherton.
The Christmas schedule will be running throughout December and will be a fantastic way for guests to escape from the sometimes overwhelming hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping in Mayfair. On the subject of the hustle and bustle, one special place to escape to this December will be the hotel’s terrace with its foliage-covered walls, festive lighting, cushioned seating, and heaters. Just imagine enjoying the bright lights of London, taking in the air and being warm and toasty at Christmas, nice eh?
Children from one to ninety-nine will revel in seeing Biltmore’s prima ballerina’s who will be dancing a twenty-minute rendition of favourite moments from The Nutcracker whilst tucking into Biltmore’s festive afternoon tea selection of finger sandwiches and delicate Christmas themed sweet bites topped off with steaming cups of hot chocolate with plenty of marshmallows for the little ones.
Furthermore, for all those wanting to treat their loved ones to one-on-one time with Father Christmas, a Santa’s Grotto will also be available to pay a visit, making sure children get the chance to share their Christmas wish list with the man himself!
Gearing up for the special day, the Biltmore Mayfair has created a variety of ways to spend quality time with family members and relax this winter season, including a special festive menu’s, Christmas Day 5-course tasting menu alongside festive afternoon tea.
Festive dining at Café Biltmore – available 1st – 24th December
(Price: Christmas Set Menu Adult £75 / Children Set Menu £37.50)
Michelin-starred Chef Jason Atherton and Executive Chef Paul Walsh have created the ultimate Christmas set menu offering warming comfort food classics, with all the trimmings. The three-course menu features starters such as Beetroot cured Severn & Wye salmon with heritage beetroot and horseradish cream or Jerusalem artichoke velouté with roasted artichoke and truffle mascarpone. Bronze Turkey follows them with Yorkshire puddings, roasted seasonal vegetables or Newlyn line-caught cod with Alaskan prawn and pearl barley risotto.
To finish, choose from Milk chocolate and hazelnut delice with clementine sorbet, hazelnut tuille or their Traditional Christmas pudding with gingerbread ice cream and nougatine.
Festive Afternoon Tea at Café Biltmore – available 1st– 31st December

Café Biltmore’s Festive Afternoon Tea will provide a refuge for those tired of Christmas shopping excitement for locals and tourists alike. Located in the hotel’s impressive Tea Lounge, delights adorning the tea stand will include sandwiches filled with Roast bronze turkey and cranberry sauce; Lake District roast beef and horseradish; Cucumber and truffle cream and Severn & Wye smoked salmon with crème Fraiche and chives.
Paul Walsh has curated Warm sultana and plain buttermilk scones with Cornish clotted cream, raspberry, and strawberry reserve for the sweet treats. And sweeter still, Milk chocolate and cherry mousse, The Biltmore fruit cake, Spiced gingerbread, Hazelnut and clementine choux and Mulled pear and cinnamon macarons.
For little ones: Father Christmas and the Sugar Plum Fairies Biltmore Ballerina Afternoon Tea – 4th, 11th, 18th December

As Santa was not allowed to make an appearance last year in lockdown, The Biltmore team have also organised a visit from Father Christmas along with the Sugar Plum Fairies for little ones to enjoy whilst feasting on a Festive Afternoon Tea.
From £35, mini guests can experience ballerinas performing a spellbinding rendition of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy by Tchaikovsky and other music from the family favourite, The Nutcracker. Post-performance, there will be a photo opportunity with the ballerinas and a take-home VIP goody bag to complete what will be a memorable experience. Three selected dates only.
A Very Mayfair Christmas Day at Café Biltmore – available 25th December
(Price: £120 per person / Children £60)
Guests will be able to enjoy a very special 5-course menu designed to indulge in the utmost style and luxury. Guests will be greeted with Mulled Wine on arrival, closely followed by Jerusalem artichoke and Périgord truffle soup and Severn and wye smoked salmon with cream cheese, dill, sourdough and lemon. For the main, dig into the Laurel Farm bronzed turkey with roasted seasonal vegetables and finish with the classic Christmas pudding with a generous amount of brandy sauce and vanilla ice cream.
There is always room for cheese on Christmas day, and a selection of British & European cheese, served with spiced apple chutney, crackers, Mince pies, Cognac truffles alongside a tea and coffee selection will keep guests extra warm (£15 supplement).
