Cadogan has announced the signing of fashion retailer Boden, with the company’s first physical UK store to launch at Duke of York Square in October 2017.
The new flagship store has been signed on a 10-year lease and will be located at 20 – 23 Duke of York Square, spanning 1,821 sq ft. The Boden store will join over 30 exciting fashion and lifestyle retailers anchored by one of Europe’s largest Zara stores alongside other brands such as Michael Kors, Liz Earle, All Saints, COS and Joseph.
The Square is also a gourmet destination, offering several restaurants and cafes all with extensive outdoor space and is host to one of London’s best open air fine food markets every Saturday and regular events throughout the year.
Located on the Kings Road, Duke of York Square is a 5-minute stroll from Sloane Square tube station and was developed by Cadogan from the former Territorial Army Barracks, it’s an ideal traffic-free haven to rest and relax.
The Boden launch will mark the brand’s first entry into bricks and mortar retail and will support the brand’s ongoing plans to bring its unique style to the high street. It will offer the Boden adult ranges, special collections such as Boden Icons and the popular Mini Boden for children aged 0-16.
Founder and Creative Director Johnnie Boden comments, “I’m so excited to be going into retail. This is a new chapter for Boden. At last our customers will be able to see the brand in all its glory. I would like the shop to feel like you’re walking into my home.”
Hugh Seaborn, CEO of Cadogan, adds: “The Boden brand has so much personality and is an ideal fit for Duke of York Square – we’re delighted that they have chosen Chelsea for their first physical UK store. Our strategy with each new opening here is to add further to the world-class shopping experience that cannot be recreated elsewhere.”
