The Coupe-styled Range Rover Evoque Special Edition of just 200 is set for first deliveries in October, comes in a matt-finish Stornoway Grey with contrasting Santorini gloss black roof and wheels – complete with rose gold accents around the 20-inch rims.
Inside, the sports seats are finished in semi-aniline Vintage Tan leather from Scotland’s Bridge of Weir – also used to cover the door inserts, armrests and central storage box lid.
The bold, hand-finished ‘baseball’ stitch detail on the leather seats was a feature chosen by Victoria Beckham as a tongue-in-cheek reference to her sporting husband, footballer David Beckham.
Land Rover Design Director, Gerry McGovern, with Designer Brand of the Year 2011, Victoria Beckham, were the masterminds behind the Evoque’s interior design.
When describing her favourite features of the new Range Rover Evoque, Victoria Beckham said:
“I like that it is luxurious but also has quite a classic edge to it as well as a contemporary feel.”
In a recent interview with GQ magazine’s Jason Barlow, Victoria Beckham also said: “‘The paintwork is a fashionably stealthy matt grey, the wheels are glossy black alloys, there are unusual rose-gold accents secreted about the bodywork and cabin, and the leather is a smooth, semi aniline type by Bridge of Weir. Frankly, it’s gorgeous.”
Bridge of Weir chairman, Jonathan Muirhead, added: “We are extremely proud to have been selected to work with the Range Rover team for this Special Edition with Victoria Beckham. I like to think we were chosen for the very high quality and luxury feel of our leather, a long history supplying the automotive industry and also our low carbon attributes and unique zero waste leather manufacturing techniques.”
