Stove Restaurant and Bar on the Langdale Estate – home to Brimstone Hotel, which is one of the most luxurious hotels in the Lake District – is offering Afternoon Tea for the very first time.
Stove’s new Afternoon Tea comes served in a traditional wooden picnic hamper and is packed with savoury goodies, including ham hock terrine with toasted bloomer and Hawkshead piccalilli, pork & leek sausage rolls, sandwiches with smoked salmon, capers, dill and crème fraiche, Cumbrian ham with tomato and honey mustard, and cucumber with Appleby creamery cream cheese.
There is a selection of sweet treats, too, including cheese and fruit scones served with preserves and clotted cream, macarons, mini choux buns, chocolate French fancies and red velvet cake.
It comes served with a wide selection of teas, and gluten-free and vegan options are available, too.
Brimstone Hotel offers 16 suites, vast in size, with private terraces, wood-burning stoves and ‘surprise’ bathing experiences.
As standard, guests at Brimstone Hotel enjoy complimentary beer, wine and nibbles in the Reading Room 24/7, complimentary Brimstone Spa access and complimentary outdoor kit hire from the Epicentre Boot Room.
Stove’s Afternoon Tea costs £30 per person. A stay at Brimstone costs £433.50 per room per night, including breakfast and the treats described above. Langdale Estate is also home to Langdale Hotel, where rooms cost from £189 per night, including breakfast.
