Maserati and Chef Massimo Bottura have renewed the working relationship which began last year
The association will continue to combine the Brand’s automotive excellence with the outstanding gastronomic values of the Modena-based Chef and his “Osteria Francescana” restaurant, recently named as The World’s Best Restaurant by the respected “The World’s Best Restaurants 2016” rankings.
After driving his Ghibli SQ4 for more than a year, yesterday Massimo Bottura visited the Maserati headquarters to take delivery of his new Levante, the first SUV in the Brand’s more than 100-year history.
The Levante was handed over by Maserati CEO Reid Bigland, who insisted on personally delivering the keys to the famous Chef.
“The Italian culinary tradition is unique,” Reid Bigland declared, “and I consider that Massimo has shown true genius in expressing a modern or even futuristic vision of this tradition in every flavour, without ever betraying its origins; all this is very close to the Maserati tradition of designing, developing and building cars here in Italy that can excite and delight their drivers all over the world and, in the case of the new Levante SUV, on all road surfaces, too.”
“I fell in love with the Levante at first glance,” Chef Massimo Bottura stated, “and I was inspired to express the thrill it gave me by creating a dish that’s now on the menu at “Osteria Francescana”. The idea that from today I’ll finally be able to drive a Levante on a daily basis is very, very exciting.”
Maserati and Massimo Bottura, as Brand Ambassador, will continue to collaborate on various joint projects, both locally and internationally.
