Pan Pacific London has performed a coup by getting Cherish Finden to come on board as their new Executive Pastry Chef, and she’s promising to create some rather exquisite treats for guests of the hotel.
Singaporean-born Cherish Finden has been appointed the new Executive Pastry Chef at Pan Pacific London. Cherish is not a ‘run of the mill’ pastry chef, she’s had more than thirty years experience creating incredible culinary art at the world finest hotels including a stint at Singapore’s most iconic property, Raffles.
Although this might come as a surprise to some, south-east Asia has an incredibly rich history when it comes to pastry. The region is known for its incredible flavours, textures and amazing artistic creations. Anyone hailing from that part of the world has been brought up experiencing some of the world’s tastiest pastry creations.
To specialise in pastry, particularly in some of the world’s most famous hotels means you’ve got to be beyond good, you need to be great. So you can rest assured Cherish Finden will be bringing some extraordinary skills and amazing flavours and textures to the lucky residents and visitors to the capital.
Cherish said of her appointment: “I am delighted to be part of the Pan Pacific London team, and I look forward to bringing my Singaporean heritage to the pastries that we will create. It will be a celebration of a slice of Singapore in London, a fusion of two of the most vibrant and dynamic cities in the world”.
One of her first tasks at the Pan Pacific London will be to create an innovative and truly irresistible menu. In addition to this, she’s is planning to introduce a ‘slice of Singapore’ to the hotel’s afternoon tea menu.

As we mentioned earlier, Cherish Finden has the renowned Raffles Hotel in Singapore on her CV. In addition to this, she’s also worked at the Langham London, another hospitality icon.
Over recent years shes made numerous appearances on TV including the aforementioned Bake Off show on Channel 4.
