Clark Abel, the bespoke luxury arm of the Futura Group launch the Dakar Evoque

The Warwickshire-based Clark Abel specialise in the luxury personalisation of cars, supercars and even boats. The current trend of customers around the world wanting something different or unique in the automotive world means that leading companies like Clark Abel can utilise their extensive creative juices and design skills to make the ideal vehicle to fit your imagination. You may recall our interview with the company just over a year ago when we talked at length about the one-of-a-kind Marilyn Monroe Range Rover Evoque. This time they have used the same platform, the Evoque, a luxurious and aggressive looking car that if it was a man seems like it would rather punch you in the face than shake your hand and the end result is the Clark Abel Dakar Evoque.

With large angular intakes, wide arches and a sharply sculpted face and flanks, it takes an already attractive model onto a new radically bold level, destined to delight those who like their motors to look like they mean serious business, whether for uber-cool urban cruising or off-piste play. The changes don’t stop on the outside,  slip into the cabin and you’ll see further interesting details designed to complement its eye-catching exterior appeal.

Mark Abel, Managing Director and Dakar Evoque designer said “Our inspiration was born from numerous discussions regarding Land Rover’s glorious Evoque.  We wanted to demonstrate our capabilities by taking an already excellent design on to an even further level.  Using the fine arts of design development in both CAD and clay modelling we have achieved our goal in giving the Evoque a more aggressive, sharp, and imposing feel to its design and presence.  This opens the Evoque to an even wider audience and illustrates the individualism and custom skill sets that can be achieved within Clark Abel.”
