We try out London’s quirkiest new cocktail spot, the Coral Room, at five-star hotel The Bloomsbury.
The Bloomsbury hotel is well-known for its Instagrammable Dalloway Terrace bar. And its newest edition, The Coral Room, will again have you snapping away before you’ve even sat down.
The eye-catching Coral Room is an inviting drinking and dining spot, combining independent British fizz and creative cocktails with boho décor and top-notch service.
Tucked away off London’s Tottenham Court Road, it’s an inviting escape from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street.
The interiors are the handiwork of acclaimed designer Martin Brudnizki. The space combines a striking coral colour scheme with parquet flooring, marble surfaces, crushed velvet furnishings and Murano glass chandeliers.
The cocktails are a 10/10 too, offering masterfully mixed creations and classics done well too.
‘Thyme, Gentlemen, Peas’ (£14) is the perfect pre-dinner tipple, combining lemon and thyme-infused gin with lemon juice, pea shoots, thyme and tonic.
Those with a sweet tooth should opt for ‘Dust & Rust’ (£14) – a bittersweet concoction of Italian herbal liqueur, Campari, orange bitters, lemon, caramel, egg white and soda.
There’s plenty on offer for foodies, including a selection of snacks and small plates, as well as breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. The bar’s open daily from 10am until late, making it fit for practically any occasion, from weekend brunch to after-work drinks.
“A sheer joy to drink in, the buzzing, beautifully bold Coral Room bar in the centre of London is a must-visit this summer.”
