Golf at Goodwood credit membership, the easy way to play and pay

Just the mere utterance of the word Goodwood conjures up visions of exotic super cars, nostalgia, the glorious South Downs, top class horse racing and from my own perspective, golf. Goodwood was the very first club where I took out a full membership and it is one of those places which not only offered a challenging game but the prestige of being a member of a top-class golf club associated with one of the finest historical country estates in Britain.

To some, the thought of taking out a full membership with a leading golf club could be daunting particularly the financial aspect, so kudos to Goodwood for introducing a system offering flexibility to the majority rather than the minority.

Downs Course 7th Fairway - Golf at Goodwood

Every golfer has a unique swing, just as every golfer has a different lifestyle. By placing the varying lifestyles of a golfer at the epicentre of their membership, Golf At Goodwood have emphasised the need for a golf membership that is not just flexible but can be completely tailored to the individual golfer.

Stereotypically stuffy golf clubs are a thing of the past and in overcoming the traditional barriers that are associated with golf clubs and their membership systems, Goodwood’s membership structure has redefined golfing membership. Although being a far more affordable option, it also appeals to members of all ages, handicaps and most importantly, the frequency of use.

With two unforgettable courses, including the Downs course, ranked in the Top 100 golf courses in the UK, the course has earned a reputation for its attention to detail, splendour and providing a quintessentially English experience.

For almost a decade, Credit Membership has strived to make golf Membership as flexible as possible whilst at the same time making it affordable for all. With traditional memberships, there can be barriers such as times and days when different schemes allow you to play, at Goodwood this is a thing of the past. Whether you play once a day, or just once in a while, you will enjoy all the benefits you would expect from an exceptional golf environment but without the annual costs usually associated with a traditional club.

The benefits of this membership extend well beyond stepping out from the luxurious Woody 2 golf buggies. Members receive access to the stunning 18th century Private Members Club, The Kennels, and are able to invite seven guests at a time to enjoy the delicious locally sourced food and drink. With the estate intertwined with sporting prowess, Golf members will also receive two complimentary tickets to the Festival of Speed, the largest motorsport event in the world.

The tee sheets for both courses are split into four key Segment Times: Peak, Popular, Peaceful and Twilight, and the number of Credits you can redeem depends on which of the segments you play during, giving members the flexibility to control the cost of your golf. The flexibility of the Credit Membership means that you can also purchase many other golf services, not just you own golf, including – Guests, Range Balls, Buggies, Trolleys, Competition entry and Tuition. Credits do not expire and can be transferred to the following Membership year upon renewal. You can top up at any time throughout the year if you happen to be running low.

The scheme is incredibly popular with members, with over 85% currently using Credit Membership. The club prides itself on simplicity and the flexibility of this membership is aimed at fitting perfectly around member’s lifestyles.
