Le Récepteur
Le Récepteur is a real piece of Brooklyn in downtown Paris. Much more than an inspiration, the new spot is the New York projection warmer and more authentic than Manhattan installed close to the Statue of Liberty in Paris. The front takes up the codes of the major New York addresses. The interior is established with a soil mixed with black and white checkered flooring, walls are dressed in a wood siding and hand-molded brick units, ceiling fixtures are a network of copper and pipes and the glass facade made of crude steel. A large patina wooden bar is the extension of a central host table in a New York bistro atmosphere.
Yuman
The light is the main element of the Yuman’s concept as vital energy. Yuman is 100% organic with a preference to give priority to local products. This restaurant is mixing a refined grocery, a place to live for the neighbourhood. A reconnecting and consistent aera open each day. From the parquet floor, the grey concrete walls, to the glazing doors with an access onto the terrace facing south, Michaël Malapert has created a real place to live reflecting the Yuman way of life. The open-plan kitchen has been established as an « artist’s workshop » facing a large « table d’hôtes » with a stylised tree giving to the spacious dining room, a single volume.
