About David Hockney
Iconic artist David Hockney, CH, RA was born 9 July 1937 is best known as a painter. His skills also extend to draughtsmanship, printmaking, stage design and photography. David is based in Bridlington, Yorkshire, although he also has a home in London. An important contributor to the Pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential British artists of the twentieth century.
