Domes Lake Algarve Welcomes New Restaurant ÀCosta

A month after its debut at Doca da Marinha, Lisbon, the new restaurant ÀCosta has gained a second location at Domes Lake Algarve, Autograph Collection, in Praia da Falésia. The restaurant, which opened this month, is an extension of the Lisbon brand, with its own DNA, coming from the creative mind of ‘chefpreneur’ Olivier da Costa.

Produce from the ocean is one of the centre points of the varied menu, featuring fish and seafood combined with traditional recipes inspired by Portuguese roots and punctuated by light influences from international cuisine. These have been a constant in the Olivier Group, whose portfolio spreads internationally.

Flavour, quality, and a relaxed atmosphere are the main features of ÀCosta Algarve. With 78 seats divided between the main room and a terrace overlooking the beach, the new Olivier Group address is open throughout the day, every day of the week, all year round.

Guests are invited to enjoy multi-course meals, snacks, and drinks focusing on seasonality and Portuguese produce, all presented stylishly.

Chef Olivier’s signature dishes include ÀCosta egg with shrimp and straw potato tartare, ÀCosta rice with saffron, chicken, squid, shrimp, and monkfish, and the Marie Louise chocolate mousse, a tribute to the chef’s French grandmother.

For starters, try traditional clams’ à bulhão pato’, shrimp or fried cuttlefish, or a selection of modern ceviche and carpaccio. Around the standout fresh fish and seafood available on request, highlight main courses, including the cuttlefish and beans stew or lobster rice. Desserts end in style with a house sweet, an unexpected creation with Greek yoghurt ice cream, maria biscuit and egg dulce.

The drinks menu takes diners on a journey across the country through wines, champagnes, and an exclusive list of cocktails inspired by maritime references linked to Portugal’s history.

Examples are Rota do Sol with passion fruit, rosemary, vanilla, lime, and Olmeca Silver, which comes together with a list of classic cocktails.

Designed for sharing moments amongst friends, family lunches and dinners, or watching the sunset, ÀCosta do Algarve was born, like its Lisbon sister, for those looking for a culinary experience with coastal views at one of the most iconic beaches in the Algarve.

Styled to emulate the tones of the beach, the light woods reflect the sand, and the terrace awning highlights the blue and green nuances of the sea.

The exterior of the restaurant on the beach

ÀCosta in the Algarve is another milestone for both Domes and The Olivier Group. It brings an avant-garde spirit to an experience that is both modern and familiar in a unique location right on the beach.
