The Draycott Hotel, a 5-star boutique situated in the heart of Chelsea, has been awarded the title of ‘England’s Leading Boutique Hotel,’ from the renowned awarding body – World Travel Awards
This prestigious award distinguishes The Draycott as the finest and most luxurious example of boutique hotels across England. Immersed in history and tradition, the property comprises three Edwardian townhouses that, to this day, maintain the traditional style and atmosphere of the original building dating back to 1890.
Its choice of 35 rooms and suites are steeped in Edwardian splendor and adorned with beautiful antiques. Each room is theatrically themed with personalised namesakes instead of numbers and, with most suites occupying a view of the hotel’s private garden, guests can enjoy stunning views and exclusive access.
The World Travel Awards, which took place on 4th September in Sardinia, Italy, celebrates leaders in the tourism, airline, hotel and hospitality sectors around the globe. Both travel and tourism professionals and members of the public are invited to nomination in recognition of the commitment to excellence amongst the industry.
Melissa Stoman, General Manager at the Draycott Hotel, said: “I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of my team. It’s wonderful to be recognised and celebrated for our traditional style and commitment to maintaining the heritage of the property. We strive to create a truly memorable experience for our guests from the moment they walk through our doors and believe our mix of tradition, comfort and luxury is what makes us stand out. ”
Personal touches such as complimentary tea and homemade biscuits are served at 4:00pm, champagne at 6:00pm, hot chocolate at 9:30pm all in the opulent Drawing Room, designed by renowned interior designer Nina Campbell. These details add to The Draycott’s wonderfully unique charm, keeping guests coming back year after year.
The Draycott Hotel was also awarded Trip Advisor ‘Certificate of Excellence’ for five consecutive years, as well as a Gold award from Green Travel awards in 2015.
