Dressing a multi-purpose room for events marking special occasions is commonplace which you would expect to be done in quality and style.
But have you thought about doing the same with your own furniture in the comfort of your own home? It’s all about adding personality to a space by creating a fabulous focal point which can be enjoyed again and again. British furniture designers and manufacturers, John Sankey are able to transform a shabby chair into a crafted piece of art meeting 21st century luxury contemporary standards. They aim to bring a décor scheme to life with their mix of traditional styles meets modern tastes.
From elegantly compact and charmingly curvaceous shapes with buttoned detailing, to grand wing chairs that have been carefully re-proportioned for a more contemporary yet supportive sit, each handmade piece is lovingly crafted at John Sankey’s Long Eaton workshop using only the finest traditional manufacturing practices.
Enhancing their distinctive aesthetic, designs are festooned with a clever collaboration of exquisite upholstery fabrics, textures and colour clashes; each sourced from a handpicked library of materials that offer quality and long-lasting luxury in abundance.
John Sankey’s well-engineered seating frames are constructed from fully seasoned quality beech and hardwoods, where every joint is triple or double doweled, glued and screwed with corner blocks for optimum rigidity. Enhancing their indulgence, designs are traditionally upholstered on various webbing and tethered spring units and enveloped with a sumptuous blend of foam & wrapped feather fillings that are skillfully teased and stitched into place to achieve the perfect shape and desired comfort.
A visual feast, the exclusive range is finished with a playful mix of bespoke detailing including hand buttoned and quilted pleats, contrast piping and studding that cut a dash in both modern and classic settings.
Their unique craftmanship provides clients with the opportunity to express their personality on individual pieces through the ability to customise any furniture design in the range to match exact specifications in style, size, fabric and finish. With beautiful pieces like these in the home, who wouldn’t want to open their doors to the world?
