Facilities at The Estates at Pangkor Laut

We’ve briefly touched upon some of the facilities at your disposal within our estate but feel a more in-depth overview of actually experiencing these is in order. First and foremost is the sea and the beach, its hard to put into words the feeling of being on a private golden beach, especially one that fronts an estate that must extend to 50-60 meters in width. When there is no wind the waves gently lap upon the sand in a mesmerizing motion, and when the breeze gets up the waves increase, a more dynamic environment is created, great fun for splashing about. The sea was warm and, aside from a few hours when the wind got up, was always drawing us back for another swim.

The infinity pool within the estate is possibly the most eye catching of all the purpose built structures, as mentioned the tiling accentuates the water, making it look deep blue in appearance. There are two horizontal jacuzzi jet areas with raised tiled platforms for you to wallow in the shallow jetted area. The pool faces out to sea over the beach, and as with all infinity pools the water cascades over the sides providing a constant sound akin to a waterfall. Tiled steps lead out from the floor of the pool to the raised lounge areas where wooden sun loungers are expertly placed to maximise the views.

Another example of the luxurious facilities were the two Jacuzzi, providing a bubbling welcome before bedtime. The Jacuzzi were situated in each of the private walled gardens under a pavilion structure offering privacy from the outside world and an almost ethereal experience sitting in the warm water looking up at the stars and listening to the waves. The things I always look out for are cracked flooring and sharp edges, and as expected, there were none. The thick white towelling robes ensured that, once our jaunt in the jacuzzi was completed, we could sit back and relax, musing about the world and why life isn’t like this always.

Finally there is the separate lounge/living pavilion further down the beach, we have to admit that this was used far less than this beautiful structure justified. We did find a few minutes here and there to sit down and listen to music, have a drink and watch the waves but the lure of the infinity pool and jacuzzi always proved  to be too much.

What we thought of The Estates at Pangkor Laut

Our time at the estates could best be described as magical, well thought out facilities, beautiful design of our estate, wonderful food and service all came together to provide an experience that will live long in our memories. We can’t compare this experience to any other as it is unique, having a private beach front estate on a tropical private island is something that will have to be searched for long and hard. Service at the The Estates at Pangkor Laut was always attentive and first class in execution. The cool breeze, bright sunshine, sounds of the wildlife and emerald waves lapping upon the shore still remain clear in our memory and will do for many years to come. Perhaps the only way we can sum up our experience is that this truly was Luxurious.

Still on a high from our stay within The Estates at Pangkor Laut, we were now to be transferred to the award winning Pangkor Laut Resort, we had been told that our accommodation would be the ‘Suria’ suite the largest and grandest of the stilted sea villas. Knowing Pangkor Laut Resort from previous visits, it was clear that this incredible luxurious experience would be continuing for the duration of our stay.
