For today’s luxury travellers, a hotel stay isn’t just about convenience or having somewhere to sleep – it’s the total experience. In many cases, this begins even before you walk through the door, taking care of guests’ every need from the moment they step on the tarmac in a new city.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, the brand behind some of the world’s most iconic hotels & resorts, prides itself on giving guests an unforgettable experience. For well over 100 years, it has catered for its customers’ every need – which has resulted in it creating some of the world’s most unique and opulent rooms.

Yigit Sezgin, Global Chief Brand & Commercial Officer, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, said, “Our hotels are renowned for their iconic locations, from The Plaza in New York with its stunning Central Park vistas to The Savoy in the bustling London West End.

“Often, our guests are looking to pair the hustle and bustle of their trip with a private oasis where they can feel calm but also see decor and benefit from unique service they wouldn’t be able to back home.”

To round off 2023 in luxurious style, let’s look inside at some of the world’s most spectacular hotel rooms:

Over the years, The Savoy has played host to some of the most iconic names in film and music, including Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra. But behind the scenes, those who were responsible for dressing the world’s greatest celebrities played their part in The Savoy’s history, too.

The unique furnishings in the GUCCI designed bedroom

Guccio Gucci worked at The Savoy as a luggage porter before he founded his luxury leather goods company. More than 100 years later, the hotel transformed its Royal Suite with furniture, furnishings, and decorative items from the Gucci Décor Collection, as well as art and antiquities specially curated by auctioneers Christie’s.
