An exclusive collection of organic cotton towelling products (bathrobes and towels) has been specially created for the Hôtel Fouquet’s Barrière.
Woven and manufactured in France by the Descamps company which owns a specific technique to increase the bounce in its towelling, the hotel’s robes and towels offer a unique softness and airiness, and are all embroidered with the emblematic laurel leaf. This new range of toweling is now enjoyed throughout the hotel’s 81 rooms and suites, as well as at the U Spa Barrière.
The organic cotton thread used for this towelling is fairtrade and GOTS certified (Global Organic Textile Standard), an international ECOCERT accreditation created to align the various existing standards in the wordwide organic textile trade.
The production and purchase of this cotton are part of the « Himshikha Development », which aims to help the cotton producing areas of India by encouraging sustainable economic development, particularly by financing the construction and equipment of the Madarjarh village school, in the Surendranagar district (state of Gujarat).
