The world’s most loved single malt whisky, Glenmorangie hosted a ‘perfect pairing’ recently at Brasserie Enfin, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in a celebration of all things ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ via an intimate Glenmorangie Degustation.
This unique degustation saw the pairing of Glenmorangie The Original, 18 Years Old and Signet with sensational cuisine française created by the Chef Patron of Brasserie Enfin, James Won. This exclusive degustation showcased the shared ethos of Chef James and the House of Glenmorangie – going to unnecessary lengths to deliver an ‘Unnecessarily Well Made’ dining experience.
The degustation started with Glenmorangie The Original, the backbone of the Glenmorangie range with an elegant and floral spirit and, paired with two entrées, Canadian Oyster with Lemon and Ginger Gelée, and Hokkaido Scallop and Scottish Salmon Pearl served with Fennel Almond Crème. This seafood combination balances the original expression of Glenmorangie Original’s smooth, sweet and complex single malt whisky.
The evening continued with the serving of Glenmorangie 18 Years Old, paired with Charcoal Grilled Duck Leg with Enfin’s Honey Citrus Reduction and Fondant Roots. This appreciative tasting highlights the full, rounded flavour of the 18 Years Old amidst the tastefully balanced honey citrus and smoky charcoal grilled duck meat.
Ending the night with the perfect dessert pairing, Glenmorangie Signet was served alongside with Fire Roasted Pineapple Mille Feuille with Handmade Dark Chocolate Truffle. This exquisite pairing blends the tropical flavours of the dessert with the bitter-sweet notes of the Aruba espresso fused Glenmorangie Signet.
