HEYTEA’s first UK concept store, HEYTEA New Oxford Street, is celebrating a remarkable opening week. Over 9,000 cups of its New Asian Tea were sold, making it one of the brand’s most successful international openings to date.
Achieving £36,000 in sales in its first week, HEYTEA New Oxford Street has cemented its position as the brand’s flagship UK store. Its strong sales demonstrate the growing popularity of Asian tea in the UK and strengthen HEYTEA’s position as a market leader.
The new store is HEYTEA’s first concept design store outside of China. It is designed in a Chinese ink style that showcases the brand’s innovative approach to modernising the bubble tea market.
HEYTEA is spearheading the new phase of Asian tea as it continues to differentiate its offering from that of traditional bubble tea brands.
The decision to launch the brand’s first overseas concept store in London highlights the UK’s importance to the bubble tea market. A recent market study indicates that the industry is set to see an 8.5% compound annual growth rate over the next ten years.
The UK’s predisposition to tea as its preferred caffeinated drink is thought to be assisting the country’s ‘bubble tea craze’, and fans of HEYTEA can now get their fix in a stylish, modern space when they visit HEYTEA New Oxford Street.
HEYTEA began in 2012 in a modest, 300-square-foot shop situated in an alley in Jiangbianli, Guangdong, China. Driven by the mission and vision of “Drive Quality, Spark Joy,” HEYTEA created a “New Asian Tea” sensation.
It revolutionised the entire tea beverage industry with its commitment to using only REAL ingredients, eliminating the use of artificial creamer, plant-based powder, artificial flavours, and colourants.
The company is also the originator of Cheese Tea (above), an innovative fusion of creamy cheese foam with fresh tea that is captivating drinkers globally.
Its New Asian Tea aims to refresh the traditional tea culture and provide innovative, high-quality tea experiences to a global audience. In 2018, HEYTEA expanded its reach internationally, beginning its globalisation expansion.
In 2023, the company entered the UK market with a store in Soho, London. Today, it operates more than 4,000 stores in over 300 cities worldwide, serving over 100 million consumers globally.
