LM: What do you do when you’re not busy with the Beauty Kitchen business?
My ideal way to relax is by doing things! I really enjoy attending fitness classes, because it allows me to focus my mind on whatever exercise I’m doing, and wipes my mind of home and work; 45 minutes of pure ‘me time’. Plus, they’re often accompanied by good music, which I love.

LM: You have a partnership with Karine Jackson hair – how was that created?
Karine and Stuart, my husband, worked together at Charles Worthington many moons ago and became firm friends. When I got to meet Karine it was a like-minded spirit, in a very male-dominated business space who wanted to do things differently and the collaboration made sense.

LM: What are the most luxurious items you possess?
Apart from the obvious of friends and family, I own a first edition of Margaret Atwood’s, ‘Handmaid’s Tale’, which has been relevant to me throughout the years.

LM: What does luxury mean to you?
Quality design with attention to the smallest detail. You can always tell if someone has taken the care to create something that will last.

LM: What product from your range could you not live without and why?
The Konjac Sponge – a cleanser and exfoliator in one – is a must. I travel a lot and it fits easily into my hand luggage and means I don’t need to carry a liquid cleanser. I always carry the Abyssinian Oil Handbag Beauty Balm – it’s 30ml so, again, it’s ideal for travelling. It’s a bit of a wonder really, a real multipurpose product. It can be used as a cleanser, moisturiser, lip balm, or to highlight and shape my eyebrows.

LM: What is your best-selling product?
The Seahorse Plankton+ High Definition Facial oil

LM: If you could to travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Uganda. We go there every couple of years and love the environment, people and for a relatively small country, it has so many different eco systems. It’s the only place in the world where you can see mountain gorillas, as well as the safari ‘big five’ and their bird variety is out of this world.
