JRE-Jeunes Restaurateurs has announced that Chef Alexandra Müller will join Swan Hellenic’s SH Vega on a mouthwatering 17-day culinary expedition from September 9th to September 25th, 2024.
Chef Alexandra Müller took charge of L’Etoile Nova’s kitchen in 2018 and, within six months, earned a Michelin star. Her lauded reputation is born from her modern French dishes, which are driven by seasonal ingredients, precise seasoning, and inventive flavours.
During the 17-day exclusive voyage, guests will have the unique opportunity to savour Alexandra’s exceptional culinary creations. Highlights of this cruise include:
Signature Dishes: Guests will indulge in a curated selection of signature dishes, showcasing Alexandra’s mastery in combining traditional Dutch flavours with contemporary culinary techniques.
Gala Dinner: An extraordinary Gala Dinner featuring a specially designed menu by Chef Alexandra, promising an unforgettable dining experience.
Interactive Cooking Shows: Alexandra will conduct live cooking demonstrations, providing guests with insights into her culinary process and allowing them to learn from her expertise.
The cruise, which is departing from Greenland on Swan Hellenic’s boutique expedition ship, will offer a host of unique insights and experiences:
Guests will circle Baffin Bay in the Canadian Arctic before navigating part of the Northwest Passage among towering icebergs, charming fjords, and some of the world’s most active glaciers in an area that is ice-bound for part of the year.
In addition, they can witness polar bears and be enchanted by the blessing of narwhals diving around them, with the possibility of seeing long white tusks breaking through the icy Arctic waters. They will also witness some extraordinary landscapes adorned with Arctic willow and purple saxifrage.
The voyage will take them to a region visited by history’s greatest explorers, including John Franklin, James Ross, and Norwegian Roald Amundsen. Like the great explorers, they will get an opportunity to visit the Inuit communities and their colourful harbour homes, making this cruise a history lesson like no other.
The Maris project was created to seamlessly combine the culinary prowess of JRE chefs with the luxury of Swan Hellenic’s ships. These innovative chefs blend culinary skills with a dedication to tradition, sustainability, and locally sourced ingredients, offering extraordinary interpretations of the regions explored.
