Jumeirah Carlton Tower has announced a new UK exclusive partnership with The Roald Dahl Story Company, in which families will be offered the opportunity to have their children’s hotel room transformed with Roald Dahl-themed goodies.
Known as one of the world’s greatest storytellers, Roald Dahl’s books have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide and sparked the imagination of children and adults alike for generations. From Matilda’s magic and Mr Fox’s bravery to George’s inventiveness and The Twits’ terrible tricks, these deeply funny and deliciously dark stories will delight families at Jumeirah Carlton Tower this summer.
Available exclusively from mid-June, this unique offering is designed to celebrate British literacy and heritage and will be offered as complimentary to families booking with children in any one of the hotel’s 186 guestrooms. Aimed at children between the ages of 2 and 12 years, the Roald Dahl Rooms feature a selection of his most famous story books, including The Twits, Matilda, and George’s Marvellous Medicine for children of school age, while The Enormous Crocodile and Fantastic Mr Fox are aimed at a slightly younger age group.
Managed by the hotel’s Guest Relations team, the rooms will be a celebration of these iconic stories with an abundance of soft toys, games, and films for them to enjoy during their stay, not to mention bedtime stories to read after listening to The Witches audiobook whilst snuggled up in a bespoke Enormous Crocodile blanket and pillows. Plus, kids can race Matilda to beat Trunchbull in Roald Dahl Monopoly whilst adorned in exclusively designed bedtime apparel such as dressing gowns and slippers embroidered with Roald Dahl’s beloved characters.
For a truly bespoke visit that is guaranteed to create family memories that will be cherished for years to come, the Roald Dahl Rooms are not to be missed.
Gianluca Priori, General Manager at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, said, “We are incredibly excited to be launching this unique and exclusive concept with The Roald Dahl Story Company. As an author and storyteller, Roald Dahl has been at the heart of children’s novels for generations, publishing one of his first children’s books in 1961, the same year Jumeirah Carlton Tower opened its doors to the public. We hope this offering creates many cherished memories for families staying with us and encourages more children to read these books and experience the wonderful worlds of Roald Dahl’s stories.”
