Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai is introducing a Lobby Art Tour programme, available to the public on a complimentary basis.
Located at the Himalayas Center, the Jumeirah Himalayas Shanghai is positioned as the new art, culture and commercial hub of Pudong, Shanghai. The Lobby Art Tour is the first of a series of cultural events taking place the hotel, in preparation to the opening of the Himalayas Art Museum.
With the support of Apple, the hotel lends iPod nano pre-loaded with information in English and Mandarin featuring the artworks on display and explaining the Feng Shui elements of the hotel. This Lobby Art Tour programme in Jumeirah Himalayas Shanghai is the first of its kind in China and is aligned with Jumeirah’s philosophy to STAY DIFFERENT™ by offering culturally connected experiences through and generous service in imaginative and exhilarating environments.
Visitors to the Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel can view 40 art pieces on display in the lobby, most of them from the private collection of Chairman Dai Zhikang, of Zendai Group, who owns the hotel. With the Apple iPod nano audio art tour, guests are able to enjoy a self-curated culture and art journey. The art pieces displayed in the lobby are changed regularly so that there is always something new to discover.
Powered by Apple, the hotel lends iPod nano pre-loaded with information in English & Mandarin featuring key information on the artworks on display around the Lobby of the Jumeirah Himalayas Shanghai. The complimentary Lobby Art Tour which is open to the public also explains the Feng Shui elements on the design of the hotel. The art pieces on display is the biggest private art collection in China from Mr. Dai Zhi Kang, Chairman of the Zendai Group and Mr. Zhang Zhenyu. The art pieces will be rotated & there will be new art that will be on display.
