Es Fanals, the dramatic clifftop dining destination at Jumeirah Mallorca, re-opens to the public for the 2024 season on Wednesday, 15 May. With views over the Mediterranean and the Tramuntana mountain range, Es Fanals invites guests to embark on a sensory adventure this summer.
Offering a range of delicious signature dishes expertly crafted by Executive Chef Javier Lopez, guests can indulge in the Sóller prawn with oyster, caviar and fennel ice cream, plus the glazed loin of Tramuntana suckling goat. Working closely with homegrown producers to champion locally sourced ingredients, Es Fanals creates an exceptional dining experience for both hotel guests and local Mallorca residents.
Blending tradition and innovation, guests are welcomed back for the 2024 season with a whole range of tasting menus, where authentic flavours from the Balearic Islands take centre stage.
Inspired by the ‘es fanals’ lamps used by fishermen to lure their catch, the restaurant celebrates the ancient fishing heritage of the island it calls home.
In tandem with an exceptional menu, guests also have an opportunity to be immersed in the aromas and flavours of a meticulously curated wine list. Showcasing the best of the islands’ vineyards alongside renowned winemaking regions, the wine list is accompanied by a cocktail menu with a range of signature drinks and well-loved classics.
Executive Chef Javier Lopez cultivated his passion for cooking in his early childhood through his family business in Barcelona. Following the completion of his culinary arts degree, he began perfecting his gastronomic techniques under renowned Chefs in Michelin-starred restaurants and is running a collaboration with Michelin-starred Chef Andrea Miglaccio in June.
With a farm-to-table style, Chef Javier Lopez applies an innovative approach to the interpretation of traditional recipes which pay homage to the island’s bountiful produce.
