Casper Glow, £89.99
We all know that taking our phones and tablets to bed with us, or binge-watching Netflix until the early hours can play havoc with the quality of sleep we get.
As science explains, artificial light messes with our biological clock (aka our ‘circadian rhythm’) which in its most basic sense, tells our bodies to go to sleep when it’s dark and to wake up when it’s light. When we throw artificial light into the mix, understandably, our bodies get confused.
Of course, we can’t wander around in the dark leading up to bedtime though it’s definitely a good idea to turn off any screens an hour before it’s time to hit the hay.
Casper’s latest non-blue emitting light is another easy solution to reducing artificial light.
This expert-designed Bluetooth-enabled warm light dims gradually, cueing your body for sleep. It lights up gradually in the morning too.
Handily, it’s wireless and controlled by gestures, so if you need some light in the middle of the night just give the lamp a wiggle and voilà!
