Le Cordon Bleu’s Festival of Food is returning to London this summer on the 1st of July 2023 at the Bloomsbury Institute. This year’s festival will be playing host to some incredible names from the culinary world and will undoubtedly be another extraordinary showcase of gastronomic excellence.
Le Cordon Bleu London is inextricably linked with two words; ‘culinary expertise’, and the good news is it likes to share what it knows. On 1st July, the world-famous culinary school will open its doors to visitors, encouraging them to immerse themselves in all things food.
In addition to displaying the school’s in-house expertise, the 2023 festival will be complemented by a good number of leading chefs, who will be displaying their culinary prowess and encouraging visitors to cook and exercise their tastebuds.
The 2023 Festival of Food will, no doubt, be a gastronome’s dream with the likes of Alyn Williams, Executive Chef at Park Row, Nicolas Rouzaud, Executive Pastry Chef at The Connaught, Chef Kemal Demirasal of Atelier Demirasal and CORD by Le Cordon Bleu Executive Chef Christophe Marleix. These fantastic names are in addition to many more top names from the culinary world who will be at the event.
Hands-on Workshops will be running all day, with visitors encouraged to get involved under the guidance of Le Cordon Bleu Master Chefs. Visitors can select French classical techniques or bake the perfect baguette with a lesson in Boulangerie. There will also be a masterclass in pâtisserie where attendees can unleash their baking skills.
With plant-based cooking on the rise, festival visitors will be able to broaden their culinary knowledge with expert advice on turning vegetables into sumptuous meals. Culinary innovation is always at the forefront of Le Cordon Bleu, and the events will undoubtedly be showcasing this.
For wine lovers, there are some wonderful wine workshops led by Matthieu Longuere MS, Le Cordon Bleu London’s Wine Development Manager. Another tasty option is the Salon Gourmet Tasting Area, where visitors can sample and purchase fantastic products, participate in competitions and learn more about the institute.
