When you think of Sake, you think of Japan, yet many outside the country know little about out. Le Cordon Bleu London is seeking to change this. With the assistance of the sake experts of the Sake Sommelier Association, they will hold a masterclass that will offer an informative insight into the mysterious world of Sake.

The Sake Sommelier Association (SSA) is the first and only UK organisation dedicated solely to promoting and educating people worldwide on the intricacies of Sake. At the Le Cordon Bleu London course, assisted by the SSA, all attendees will be given the opportunity to taste five types of Sake in a friendly and informal environment.

The sake masterclass is the ideal way to learn about this historic Japanese beverage and gain knowledge and an understanding of one of the world’s most complex and enigmatic drinks. The course is part of the curriculum delivered by the Sake Sommelier Academy.

The Sake Sommelier Academy is overseen and accredited by the SSA. It works alongside a network of approved professional sake educators worldwide to provide unprecedented Sake Sommelier training. The academy believes that the most productive way of teaching is by providing practical and usable information, which preserves these sommelier-based skills, alongside interactive workshops.

For more than two decades, the Sake Sommelier Academy has been educating the world on Sake, and it is widely regarded as the international authority when it comes to sake training. In summary, it exists to promote global education, awareness, and appreciation of Sake whilst increasing opportunities for students to learn its rich cultural history.

Every participant in Sake Ninja at Le Cordon Bleu will get the chance to try different types of Sake. By doing so, they will learn something new, and at the end of the course, will be given a lapel pin, which they can show to their friends and family as a mark of what they have learnt.
