Le Méridien Bangkok, the art-inspired hotel in the heart of Thailand’s vibrant capital city, has unveiled a brand new category of rooms with circular beds designed to enhance its guests’ sleep experience and help all travellers to enjoy wonderfully soothing stays.
Now available in the newly revitalised Executive Round Rooms, located on the 22nd floor of the Le Méridien Bangkok overlooking the bustling streets of Silom, is a new style of sleeping is set to elevate every stay and create an intriguing point of difference for this cosmopolitan hotel.
Although some might feel that circular beds are nothing more than a gimmick, they are not. Research has shown that they can improve sleep quality, ease pent-up stress and help tension float away.
For most travellers, getting a great night’s rest is the most important aspect of their vacation or business trip. The shape and size of a circular bed offer greater freedom to move, helping guests to doze off faster and ensuring a deeper sleep with fewer night-time disruptions. This is ideal after a long journey, a tiring day or even for those who need to prepare for a big day ahead, such as a wedding, meeting or conference.
A bed should also be a safe haven – a place of complete comfort and security. According to psychologists, a round shape allows the sleeper to feel more in command of their surroundings, which is ideal for anxious travellers. In Le Méridien Bangkok’s Executive Round Rooms, this concept is enhanced with spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows to give guests a 360-degree view of their room and panoramic views of Bangkok’s cityscape.
Alternatively, guests can pick their most comfortable position and settle down to watch a movie on their large LED Smart TV, stream their favourite shows using the high-speed in-room Wi-Fi, or simply lie back and soak up the room’s sleek and stylish interiors, which are designed to inspire a sense of peace and tranquillity.
“The circle has always been a symbol of wellness. In the principles of feng shui, it represents continuity, harmony and balance. For modern travellers, a round bed is not only a quirky design feature and a talking point; it can ensure a deeper sleep and a greater feeling of well-being. We look forward to helping our guests create their own personal sanctuary of peace and harmony in the heart of this pulsating metropolis,” said Mr Dieter Ruckenbauer, General Manager, Le Méridien Bangkok.
The new Executive Round Rooms form part of Le Méridien Bangkok’s recent refurbishment, which has repositioned this chic hotel as a haven of art, culture and wellness.
