Le Petit Beefbar, part of the Beefbar restaurant family, is introducing a new sharing sensation to Edinburgh’s culinary scene.
Located on the iconic George Street, Beefbar offers beautiful interiors, top-quality produce, and a unique dining experience centred around sharing with an experiential twist on the classic steak dining concept, where the menu features a diverse selection of street food, main courses, and sides, grouped into three distinct categories: Beef, Reef, and Leaf to tantalise taste buds.
Founded by Riccardo Giraudi, who set out with a mission to revolutionise steak dining and bring people together through sharing in a realm where luxury isn’t just seen but felt and savoured with every bite. Giraudi’s creativity and entrepreneurial flare have allowed Beefbar to flourish in the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, born from a desire to create a destination where people could enjoy incredible meat and produce in beautiful settings.
The first Beefbar was unveiled by Riccardo in the fast-paced, opulent playground of Monte Carlo in 2005. What followed was nothing short of a culinary revolution, with Beefbar becoming a global favourite, igniting taste buds in iconic locations such as Paris, Malta, Mykonos, Saint Tropez, Méribel, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Tulum, Nice, São Paulo and the recently opened in New York City.
Known for being nestled within the most prestigious hotels – from the luxurious Four Seasons in Athens to the vibrant W Hotel in Budapest – Beefbar has exceptional culinary offerings in extraordinary settings, which gives guests a dining experience they’ll never forget.
Following the success of Beefbar, Riccardo introduced ‘Le Petit Beefbar’, an approachable yet elegant way to enjoy some of the best cuts in the world. In its first Scottish residence, Edinburgh has been welcomed into the Beefbar family. However, Riccardo isn’t stopping there, as he has also recently opened a venue in New York.
Situated within InterContinental Edinburgh, The George: Le Petit Beefbar now occupies the first of a series of historic 18th-century townhouses which make up the hotel. Accessible through an entrance on George Street or via the hotel lobby, contributing to the hotel’s status as a cherished landmark in Edinburgh.
The Edinburgh franchise is home to a tempting menu which scores with expert culinary taste, drawing inspiration from the allure of street food from Japan, Mexico, and Europe. Each dish offers the highest presentation of the finest cuts and produce sourced from the landscapes of Scotland and beyond, echoing the diversity that defines Edinburgh’s culinary scene.
For an unforgettable culinary journey, the menu available showcases Beefbar classics and new chef creations such as Scottish Dry Aged T-bone, the Wagyu Chimichurri, or the Veal & Wagyu Bolognese. Dessert options include Le Petit’s cheesecake, a homemade vanilla cheesecake with a hazelnut crust, as well as the much-loved French toast with caramelised brioche, yoghurt ice cream and lashings of salted caramel sauce.
Don’t overlook the menu’s hidden gems, including favourites like the Insane Rock Corn, featuring tempura popcorn paired with a delectable Sriracha mayo sauce, and the Miso Spinach Salad, where vibrant greens are coated in a mouthwatering miso dressing. These dishes are guaranteed to surprise and delight all taste buds.
For those who would like to sample a plethora of delectable dishes, Le Petit Beefbar introduces the ultimate sharing menu for four at £80 per person. The offer includes coveted dishes like the Super Kale Salad and the Croque Sando, as well as some of the signature steak dishes, including the Miso Black Beef or Paradise Pepper Fillet.
Perfect for sharing, there is also a vast selection of decadent sides that perfectly complement the steaks, such as the Parmesan & Truffle fries and a selection of Signature Creamy Mash Potato. To enhance the experience further, guests will wash these sharers down with a bottle of wine of their choice. For this offer, quote ‘sharing for four’ when booking to secure the savings.
Le Petit Beefbar Edinburgh offers a selection of eclectic drinks thoughtfully curated in Monaco. Diners can choose from a list of global wines available by the glass and bottle, alongside a cocktail menu with signature serves, including the San Sebastian with Havana Club 3-year-old rum, crème de banane, lemon juice, passion fruit and cinnamon syrup, and the Mon Amie, with Maker’s Mark 46 bourbon, crème de cacao brown and maraschino cherry syrup.
While Le Petit Beefbar boasts a reputation for offering premium beef cuts and a memorable culinary experience, Riccardo has strived to elevate the brand’s recognition beyond being a luxury and fun steak restaurant.
Beefbar holds the title for ‘Restaurant & Bar Design Awards’ for its Milan and Paris restaurants. It also secured top positions in the ‘World’s Best Steak Restaurants’ list, earned a coveted Michelin Star within its Hong Kong residency, and was crowned ‘Best Steakhouse’ by Time Out Magazine. Additionally, Riccardo’s Jamon de Buey de Kobe was honoured with the Wallpaper* Design Award in 2018 for ‘best working lunch’.
