Loews Hotels & Resorts has announced an agreement to purchase the cultural landmark, the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in California, part of the Hollywood & Highland Center.
The hotel will undergo a £16.7 million renovation later this year and boasts 632 guestrooms, 32 suites and over 48,000-square-feet of meeting space.
Since opening in 2001, the hotel has become a premier location in Hollywood and boasts spectacular views of the world-famous Hollywood sign and the renowned Walk of Fame. The Loews Hollywood Hotel rises 20 stories above the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, placing it in the heart of Los Angeles’ most dynamic neighbourhood.

The Loews Hollywood Hotel is part of the 460,000-square-foot Hollywood & Highland Center, providing guests with easy access to over 80 shops, 26 restaurants and eateries, two nightclubs, seven movie screens, eight bars, 12 bowling lanes and the Dolby Theatre, which is where the Academy Awards® are held. The Hollywood Bowl amphitheatre and Universal Studios Hollywood theme park and movie studio are also close by.
Guests of the hotel can expect creative elements and amenities, innovative programmes and quality service, for which Loews Hotels & Resorts is famous for. The hotel’s most defining features include the spa, pool terrace and restaurant and event space. Wolfgang Puck Catering will continue to partner with Loews in the operation and catering of the 25,000-square-foot ballroom located in the Hollywood & Highland Center complex.
