Pinkies at the ready. These are London’s best new afternoon teas making a debut this summer.
Afternoon Tea at The Green Room, £30 pp
One of London’s best ham and cheese sarnies, crumbly scones with buttery, salty clotted cream, and millionaires squares that reach 10/10 on decadence scale come as standard with the Green Room’s afternoon tea.
The real star of the show though is the bespoke tea, blended for the hotel in collaboration with Hackney Herbal. The blends have been specially created to aid digestion, to relax you and even to boost your immune system.
The Green Room is located at the ultra-trendy Curtain Hotel in central Shoreditch. As the name suggests, it’s decked out in beautiful greenery with plush velvet seating, a polished concrete floor, opulent gold-trimmed accessories and glowing neon signage. The centrepiece is a custom painted floor-to-ceiling mural.
This hip five-star hotel is the new ‘place to be seen’ for everyone from celebs to creative types.
There’s a screening room, a buzzing American restaurant, a glitzy rooftop bar, an underground member’s club, a disco room and plenty more to keep you entertained.
