Style icon Alexa Chung fronts Longchamp’s Autumn 2016 advertising campaign for the second time
Shot on location in Paris, the birthplace of Longchamp, this stunning campaign is captured through the lens by renowned fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh.
Toting the Pénélope Fantaisie handbag, this eye-catching bag with its smooth leather and velvet texture looks perfect with Alexa’s woollen sweater in graphic black and white with grey thrown in. It’s an atmospheric setting and one which evokes the chic ambience of a Parisian café.
In another shot, Alexa smoulders in a reversible rabbit fur coat with ankle boots and clutching Longchamp’s new red Paris Premier handbag complete with luxurious lambskin lining. As the Parisian Fashion House’s signature luxury bag, the Paris Premier handbag is the star in a Jean-François Julian film which will debut on 4th October on Longchamp.com.
As a tribute to Longchamp’s flagship store located on 404 Rue Saint-Honoré, the film’s opening date will coincide with the reopening of this flagship’s store.
Ready to Wear
Inspiration from the animal, vegetal and mineral world, designer Sophie Delafontaine created a collection for Autumn 2016 which a brand new silhouette which is both sensual and warm.
Titled ‘Urban Nature’ the collection is geared for a multidimensional and multi-tasking woman who is both sophisticated and glamorous with sensual and feline attributes and uses leather liberally as its Longchamp’s signature material.
Velvety lambskin decorated with fur patches, reversible coats with nylon on one side and printed rabbit fur on the other add to this playful yet classy interpretation of sportswear mixed with glamour.
“In a predominantly urban world, where technology plays an increasingly important part, we need nature more than ever.”With colours and shapes reminiscent of nature, this prêt-à-porter line never veers far from what you would find in a forest, in the woods or by a stream – the use of khaki is inspired by the bark of a tree while the camel evokes the strength of animals. Gray-blue patches borrow their strength from the stone. This highly feminine wardrobe features refined coats, zipped jackets and A-line-skirts.
