The current Luxurious Magazine Car of the Year is the Rolls-Royce Wraith and it won based on its exterior styling, superb performance and of course an incredible interior.
Although Luxurious Magazine is the most popular luxury brand in the world on Google Plus with millions of article views each month, it’s equally as important for the worlds most famous luxury motoring brand to be acknowledged for its excellence in design not just by ourselves but also by the specialist press. The Rolls-Royce Wraith presents a masterpiece of elegant simplicity, displays poise and the promise of dynamism and is in our opinion, a super-luxury motor without fault. Once opened, the vehicle’s coach doors serve as gateways to a sumptuous interior with the finest, contemporary materials that create the ultimate lavish driving experience. For those that think that you might never get a chance to see this for yourselves, you cold be in luck as Luxurious Magazine will be visiting the home of Rolls-Royce in the next couple of weeks to do a special report (including first-person video) for Luxurious Magazine and MSN.
Alongside our acccolade the Rolls-Royce Wraith has been named one of Ward’s 10 Best Interiors for 2014. 41 vehicles with all-new or redesigned passenger compartments sought top honors for fit-and-finish, comfort, ergonomics, functionality, value, safety and aesthetics. While entries included compact cars, pickup trucks and utilities vehicles, premium and luxury brands, such as Rolls-Royce, have made their way into the competition.
“Rolls-Royce is honored to be awarded 2014 Ward’s 10 Best Interiors,” said Eric C. Shepherd, President of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America. “The level of sophistication and polish the Wraith offers – both interior and exterior – is a testament to the Rolls-Royce marque. This accolade adds to the high distinction Wraith continues to amass within the automotive community and consumers alike.”
“If anyone thought Rolls-Royce interiors were stuffy and aloof, they need to catch a glimpse of the new 2-door Wraith. It exudes youthful energy; it’s fabulously appointed and it’s a tribute to hand craftsmanship,” says Tom Murphy, WardsAuto World executive editor. “Open the carriage-style door of the Wraith and it’s easy to be blown away by so many details – the beautiful silence when the door closes and the window presses tightly into the seal, the sound of the strumming harp when the engine starts, the warmth of the Canadel Paneling made of Brazilian rosewood and, of course, the ability to guarantee a starry sky on a cloudy night. The Spirit of Ecstasy lives on.”
Every year WardsAuto editors seek to find the 10 best interiors that raise the bar for each brand and vehicle’s segment. This year, a panel of eight WardsAuto editors did so by completing score sheets upon reviewing items such as stitching on seats, door trimming, material quality, and gloss levels of each vehicle, all while keeping aesthetics and design harmony top of mind.
