For our latest Travel Show Luxurious Magazine headed to the Southern region of the Malay Peninsula, to one of Malaysia’s finest award-winning Eco friendly projects – Philea Resort & Spa.
The resort promised everything we were looking for – luxury, comfort and relaxation in serene and peaceful environment within easy reach of culture and entertainment; so, we decided to check it for ourselves.
We spent four days at the resort and I have to confess, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Upon arrival we had a lingering session at Tanjung Wellness Spa that made all the tension of the long drive evaporate and set the perfect tone for the rest of our mini break. We spent a day browsing quaint little shops of Malacca Town (only 20 minutes drive away), admiring historic sites and marveling at the giant modern shopping complexes.
We took the opportunity to visit Malacca Butterfly & Reptile Sanctuary and had hours of fun playing with the animals. There seemed to be too little time to savour and experience all the activities on offer – splashing around at the water-fall surrounded pool, relaxing massage at the spa, a cool-down session in our own private pool, bubbling away at our en-suite Jacuzzi while watching TV, romantic dandle-lit dinner on the terrace – there was all of that and much more, if only there were more hours in a day.
Our stay at the Royal Villa was beyond all praise, it felt like home away from home minus all the unglamorous chores that were magically done by obliging and hard-working staff. The accommodation was brilliant, the food – great and the service – outstanding. The peace and tranquility of the forest and soothing sound of the water cascading down in the waterfall-bay did miracles for our well-being. We came back feeling relaxed, rested and recuperated.
