Marriott International, Inc., has made its debut in Luxembourg with the recent opening of Moxy Luxembourg Airport, offering a playful and stylish hospitality experience. In addition, the company will open the Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa by the end of 2024. The two hotels will bring unique brand experiences for business and leisure travellers to the Grand Duchy.
Alexandra Goguet, Vice President of Development, France and Benelux, Marriott International, commented, “With the entry of Marriott International into Luxembourg, we are thrilled to offer our Marriott Bonvoy members and travellers a new market with exciting travel experiences. Luxembourg has a lot to offer and is the perfect location for the openings of these two hotels, each situated in prime locations. We look forward to welcoming our first guests and are excited about the potential to open more hotels in Luxembourg in the future.”
Luxembourg, one of Europe’s smallest countries, uniquely blends historical charm and modern sophistication. Nestled between Belgium, France, and Germany, the country is known for its rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, diverse culinary scene, and various attractions, from the rolling hills and dense forests in the north to the scenic vineyards along the Moselle River.
Luxembourg City’s capital boasts impressive mediaeval fortifications, a picturesque old town, and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Moxy Luxembourg Airport (Opened on September 3)
The newly opened Moxy Luxembourg Airport is located within one of Europe’s largest wooden buildings, the Skypark Business Center at Luxembourg Airport. The hotel features 129 stylish rooms, each with a walk-in shower, comfortable bedding and airport views.
Designed for young-at-heart travellers, Moxy Luxembourg Airport offers buzzing public spaces and bold Moxy-style programming, including check-in with a complimentary cocktail or mocktail at the Bar Moxy- the hotel’s social space for travellers and locals alike.
Guests can enjoy food and drinks on a stunning open-air terrace with a pétanque court for fun. The hotel is conveniently connected directly to the airport terminal via an indoor walkway from the Skypark Business Center.
Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa (Expected to open in Q4 2024)
Conveniently located opposite the main train station, Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa will offer a gateway to explore Luxembourg and its alluring blend of historical charm and modern vitality.
On the hotel’s doorstep, guests will find the city’s main historical and cultural landmarks, such as the Bock Casemates, the National Museum of Art and History and the Palace Grand Ducal.
Paying tribute to the building’s history since the 1930s, Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa features a timeless ambience with art deco design elements throughout the signature Greatroom Lobby, the M Club, and 153 guestrooms and suites.
Set to become a new dining and social destination in the city, the revival of the famous Brasserie Alfa with the original paintings of the Luxembourg artist Julien Lefèvre will be the perfect place for locals to come together and reconnect with the past.
Guests will also be able to enjoy seafood and classical French-inspired delights at the bar, along with modern cocktails. Other facilities will include a fully equipped gym and five meeting rooms.
