After 15 years and multiple successes in high-end watchmaking, designer Mikael Bourgeois has decided to turn his expertise to individuals who want to have their own watch, fully created according to their tastes and desires.
Situated within the beautiful French/Swiss border region, Mikael Bourgeois creates and designs unique and exquisite timepieces meeting the exacting needs of his discerning clients. His skills allow him to customise all aspects of ones dream timepiece including shape, size, colour, materials and movememt. Each timepiece is a blend of technology and handmade manufacturing requiring know-how and horological skills famous withing this part of Europe.
Whether you require a piece made from steel, gold or diamonds, with a chrono or tourbillon movement, the workshop will respond to all requests with a single motto: perfection !
As Mikael says: “It’s only a mix of art and mechanics!”
To date, there are only a handful of companies in the world that can provide this human and technical adventure. Ranked among the artisans of luxury, the brand Mikael Bourgeois produces only a few watches per year taking between 4 months and 1 year for the finished coveted object. Luckily, the customer can follow each step and he/she is even invited to observe the manufacturing and assembly of the bespoke tailor-made watch.
Now for the important factor, the cost. Suprisingly, it’s less than we thought to have a bespoke piece made (depending on complexity, functions and material). The prices vary between €9,000 and of course, the sky is the limit. These luxury watches are exclusively serviced and adjusted to the workshop, so that they retain their eternal rarity.
“Customers put a little of themselves into these watches. And we are proud to know that a father will offer his custom-made watch to his son or his grandson. In the world of luxury watches, where everything became industrial, nowhere else you can chat with the designer or watchmaker who made your own watch.” – Mikael Bourgeois
