The family-owned beauty product business, Montagne Jeunesse, is enhancing its credentials in the plant-based and ethical industry with nominations in two categories at the 2022 Veggie Awards. The awards have become a go-to for conscious consumers looking for effective, quality products that positively impact and celebrate the best meat-free, cruelty-free, and sustainable products on the market.
Montagne Jeunesse is one of the pioneers in the field of cruelty-free beauty and is a member of the Vegetarian Society, Cruelty-Free International and PETA. For 2022, the beauty product business has been included as a finalist in the Vegan Skincare category, as well as making the final 12 to contest the Cruelty-Free Haircare Award.
“We’re thrilled to be included as finalists in two categories,” said Celine Delasalle, Holistic Marketing Lead at Montagne Jeunesse. “As well as making sure we have the perfect product for every customer and skin type, we take our heritage as pioneers of cruelty-free beauty incredibly seriously, particularly as we look to build our sustainable beauty offering as the new normal.
“Choosing personal care and wellness goods has become a top priority for modern beauty consumers. As a result, we are completely truthful and open with our customers about what goes into formulating our ingredient-rich products. We’re all about high-performance essentials and maximum results but done responsibly at an affordable price point.”
The multi-award-winning Earth Kiss Super Naturals Kombucha & Charcoal Exfoliating Clay Mask is set to contest the 12-strong Vegan Skincare category. It has quickly become symbolic of the inside-out beauty movement, especially after landing a Gold Moms Choice Award earlier this year.
Supercharged with natural goodness, the Earth Kiss Super Naturals range is designed to appeal to performance-driven, health-conscious, and active shoppers. The Vegetarian Society Vegan Approved, Cosmos Organic certified mask contains the “immortal elixir,” Kombucha, which has been consumed for thousands of years for its health-promoting, body energising and detoxifying properties.
Created by infusing a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast, known as a SCOBY, into cane sugar and green tea, the gut-healthy probiotics and vitamins that have made Kombucha a popular drink are now proving themselves to be just as beneficial when applied topically on facial skin.
In the same way that the probiotics in Kombucha improve your gut microbiome’s health, scientists have found that these friendly microbes can also enhance the appearance, texture, and overall health of facial skin by balancing out harmful bacteria and boosting the production of the good kind.
The Kombucha & Charcoal mask contains vitamins B1, B6, B12 and C to help support cellular function and oxidative damage by gently cleansing and exfoliating the skin, sloughing away dead skin cells, and boosting hydration.
Contesting the Cruelty-Free Haircare category is the 7th Heaven Coconut Hair and Root Rescue Mask with quenching pulped coconut oils and protein-rich quinoa to strengthen and boost volume. This heavenly scented hit product is vegan approved by the Vegetarian Society and proudly cruelty-free, just as all Montagne Jeunesse products have for the past 30 years.
After months of rigorous testing by in-house experts, the shortlisted products are now with an esteemed panel of the UK’s best-loved vegetarian and vegan celebrities and influencers, with winners and highly commended runners-up due to be announced on November 17.
The awards aim to shine a light on tomorrow’s cruelty-free and eco brands by testing and judging some of the standout products in the plant-based and ethical industry.
