With 2014 looming fast, it’s time to sit down and make some resolutions. Over the past few years, I’ve switched from the usual ‘Must get fitter and must give up this or that’ to a smattering of ‘Get better at’ goals.
One resolution for 2014 is to ‘not look so obviously bad on a golf course’, wandering around hacking away with the club, plastered in sun screen and getting more and more frustrated every ten minutes makes me wonder ‘why on Earth do I keep doing this?’
Golf is one of those games that I think was created to to make people look bad, and the only way to avoid looking bad is to get better. If golf was invented by me, we would all have luxury motorised carts with computer-based projectile machines on the front that you pointed, programmed and pressed a button to shoot the ball at the desired target.
